Ok, I need your help....please!!

I've been trying to make some food to freeze or have ready when this baby comes along but I am stumped on what to make. I was trying to think of the food that I take to people that need a meal but it's usually the same thing...lasagna.

So what do you take to people that need meals, whether it be because they've had a new baby, had surgery, or just even need a meal????

I would LOVE to hear all suggestions...including side dishes, desserts, treats, anything to help us get prepared for this next phase of our life!!! :)

Roasting a whole chicken is very easy. Throw some veggies in around it and viola! a meal. Good luck Jackie, it is coming so soon!

I don't know if I made my chicken casserole for you, but it's really simple and Nate would love it...

You shred a chicken breast about 4 or 5 cups.
(I usually boil a bag of chicken thighs with the skins and then I can use the juice to make soup later if I want, or any other cooked chicken.)
Mix with a pint of
sour cream, 1 can cream of chicken soup, mix and place in pan or casserole dish.

crunch ritz until you have 1 1/2 cups. mix with 1 cube melted butter and 1 tbsp. of poppy
seed.

top caserole. Bake 350 for 45 min.

It's so easy.

Soups. Did you know rice, pasta and mashed potatoes freeze really nicely? I made lots of stuff before school starts (because I'm lazy). Makes a meal really quick. pizza pockets, casseroles. Cook up taco meat and stir fry meat and freeze it. I see what else I can think of :D

Shepherd's pie freezes really well too. Mix cooked hamburger with mushroom soup, layer of peas (or green beans), top with mashed potatoes, and you're good to go. I also always cook up several large packages of hamburger and freeze into smaller portions. That way you can just pull out and season what you need for tacos, burritos, spaghetti, stroganoff, or nachos (my personal favourite, yummy!). Good luck!
