So much fun!!!

That's what we have been having!!! Only 2 more sleeps until we head home and even though I will be so sad to leave I know that we are SOOO ready to be home. We have been travelling so much this summer, which has been really fun, but we are all ready to just be home and enjoy our new house (which still has a lot of work that needs to be done on it) and to get back into a routine, poor Nathan hasn't had a set bedtime for almost the whole summer. However, we really have enjoyed our time away especially being down here in Seattle. I don't know if anyone knows but Wayne has never left Canada before so this has been really fun, plus it's been a very interesting experience for him being in a REALLY BIG city. In fact, on Friday it was Wayne's day to drive and after repeating myself many times for him to make sure he got the directions to the hotel we were staying at before we left, we found ourselves REALLY lost with no directions...I can laugh about it now but it was NOT funny at the time. I am finally ready to admit that I am a control freak. I want to be in charge, or at least know what is going on, and Wayne is as stubborn as I am, just be glad that you weren't in the car with us while we were trying to find the hotel. But I am happy to say that we did find our way and we have made up...hehe. Yesterday, we went to the Children's Museum and it was FABULOUS. If anyone has kids between 2 and 10 this is the PERFECT place to go when you are in Seattle. It has all these neat areas that are like miniature places just for kids. One of Nathan's favorite rooms was the grocery store. It had tons of plastic food and boxed goods, there was a cash register, a debit card machine, phone and a scanner. It was SOOO much fun. Each room is made to be explored and things are to be touched and the more imagination that is used the better. Seriously, Wayne and I had so much fun playing with Nathan and I know that Nathan loved it too. Today we took in the Mariner's game, and even though the experience was fun, I definately like my hitting and fast paced sports, in fact I watched people in the crowd more than I watched the game. The Shutra boys will be shocked but I don't even know what the score was. We took a shuttle to the game and then decided to walk back and take in Pike Market. It was about a 1.5 mile walk to Pike Market and it wasn't what I remembered it to be, plus I was not in the mood to smell fish and that's what it smelled like. We then continued on for another probably 2 miles and finally found a restuarant that was recommended to us from the front desk girl(by the way, if you are ever in a city that you aren't familiar with, ask the front desk people where to eat because they really do know the good places). We had a FABULOUS dinner at a restaurant called 13 Coins and then made our way back to the hotel. We went for a swim tonight and have been bumming out since. In fact, it is only 10:30 here Nathan and Wayne are passed out for the night and I am going to be joining them soon.
Tomorrow we have decided to just leave early and try to find some good outlet malls and then head back up North. I am excited to go home and I am even looking forward to the heat as it has only gotten up to about 25 degrees here and I have been FREEZING!!!

UH OH!!! I've got the bug!!!

I do have the bug but it's the travel bug!! I forgot how much I love to travel but now that we are on the West coast I remember why I loved travelling all over the states for so many years!! Our adventure is just beginning but we have already been having so much fun. Our friend Carla, and her daughter Decie drove us to the airport in Saskatoon. Nathan really liked taking off and he enjoyed paying attention long enough to wave at our house and Grandma Shutra's house and then he didn't care that we were 1000's of feet in the sky. He didn't care that the fields were BEAUTIFUL, or that we were above the clouds, and he didn't even care about the fabulous mountain range, but I sure loved it. We had a little layover in Edmonton which was just long enough to let some people off and pick up some more people. Nathan was able to go up and meet the pilot which was SOO much fun. I am amazed that every plane doesn't crash because there are so many buttons and switches that it is just totally overwhelming in there, and that is just one of the millions of reasons why I am not a pilot. We arrived in Vancouver, got our bags, got our car and headed out to our hotel. Luckily, the hotel was easy and close to get to and we made it without too many arguments. We then went for supper but by this time Nathan was done and even though the food was FABULOUS we didn't get to really enjoy it with a screaming/cranky toddler. We went back to the hotel, went to bed (which btw, Nathan got to sleep in bunkbeds but mean Mommy would only let him sleep on the bottom bunk). We slept in, had breakfast, bummed around (because that's what you do when on vacation) and then packed and left. We had lunch and then headed on our way to the border. It was a quick ride to the border and then we got stuck in holiday traffic and waited almost 2 hours before we finally went through customs, luckily Nathan slept for most of the time. We were driving along, and following the directions for Mapquest but got lost because there are 3 highways that are all named the same thing Highway 20 and we didn't know where we were going. So I went into a car body repair shop and the nice men told me where to go and printed off a new and correct map for me. We then shortly found our way again and finally made it to the Port Townsend ferry. We played on the beach for a while as we waited for the ferry to come and then drove on the ferry and went to the deck to watch as we went out onto the water. Nathan LOVED going out on the water but Mommy was in a skirt and it was REALLY windy so we decided to just watch from in the cabin. This is where we are now, Port Townsend. Port Townsend is the first place that I lived and nannied at, and this town has hardly changed in 10 years. We have already some good clam chowder and oysters, clams, fresh fish, and scallops. Anyways, it is time to go to bed because we have a CRAZY day tomorrow, I can't wait.

It's all worth it....repeat again, It's all worth it.

Well it's the 2nd round of treatments and Dr. Gilliland decided that we should up my dosage. Well I thought that it would be like last time... NOT!!!

Everything makes me cry, in fact I started crying at the taco commercial where the little boy invents the flat bottomed taco (I'm sooo proud of that little guy)... I know, it's totally lame. I will be laughing one minute and then pulling a Cruella Devil mood the next, and my poor husband is the one that usually gets the joy of dealing with me.

I don't think that the body is suppose to be forced into doing things that it doesn't want to do, and my body is as stubborn and cranky as I am. Have you ever been on one of those spinning teacups at the fair? Well that's the fun I get to experience when I stand up too fast, wheeeeee.

Anyways, when I am sitting on the floor crying, in pain, and going for the fun ride, I just keep saying that it will all be worth it when I finally have a baby....and I hope it happens soon. I guess Heavenly Father is really testing me this time around, and man I better have 2 or more babies because my patience is ASTOUNDING...hehe.. btw, that's just a joke.

Home again, home again, jiggity jig.

We are finally back home from Alberta and it is SOOO nice. Even though I miss everyone it's nice to finally be home. I left with Nathan on July 13th, Wayne flew down on July 18th, and we came back on Monday.

Quick notes to wrap up the week:
-Karalee moved back to Alberta and is living with her friend Joella and her kids, it should be good for Kar and Iliegh is learning some fun tricks like saying, "It's not FAIR" and "I didn't make the mess so I don't have to clean it."
-We went to the 24th of July celebrations in Glenwood and saw "old" friends, it's always nice to see everyone, but it's crazy to see how much everyone has changed, especially their kids.
-Saw Lindsay, Jack and Riot, once again it's so fun seeing friends again.
-Lisa and I had a lot of fun together as she took a couple of days off while I was there. We took some maternity pictures of her, it was SOOOO much fun!! We went shopping and just hung out.
-The week flew by sooo fast and I am sorry if I missed you this time, but I will definately have to come see you when I come down when Lisa's baby is born.
-Enjoyed just being with Mom and Dad again, even though I am 27 I still want to be around my Mom and Dad because they are just the coolest.

Now that we are home I have been trying to get the house "organized". There are things that are just piled in areas and I can't stand it anymore so I just started throwing things away and moving stuff and just putting it in it's place. I admit I am not the most organized person but I would LOVE to be.

We are also trying to get as much stuff done as quickly as possible because we are leaving for Seattle soon. I can't wait to go but I am sure ready to come home and stay home. I am tired of traveling, and not being home. We have this new house, and a new yard and I feel like we haven't even been able to enjoy it.

Okay so this blog is SOO boring, my brain is just not thinking tonight. I hope everyone is having a great summer, and I hope that you are all staying cool.

GO NATHAN GO NATHAN GO!!!!

Tonight I put Nathan in a nice warm bath and not even 5 minutes later he was yelling that he was cold and wanted out. This is NOT normal, Nathan LOVES baths, the water could be ice, his lips can be blue but he still wants to keep playing. Anyways, I told him to play for 5 more minutes while I cleaned up the upstairs. A few seconds later he says that he is cold and I said to stay in. Then he yells that he has to poop, so I RUN into the bathroom as fast as I could. He is out of the tub standing on the mat in the funniest position (holding it in) so I put him on the big boy potty and he poops!!! YEAH/ PHEW, I am glad I didn't have to catch any floaters in the tub. We do a happy dance, and Nathan goes back in the tub. Not even 2 minutes later he yells that he has to go poop again, so I run into the bathroom, (I have to admit I didn't really believe him) and put him on the potty. We sit there for a minute and then *plop* he poops again. I couldn't believe it. This time I did the happy poop song (sounds like the Dora song but the lyrics are changed to poopy things), and the happy dance.

I am SOOO impressed with him. Not only did he poop in the potty but he made the connection with the feeling that he needed to poop, telling me and then pooping in the potty. I guess we are going to get serious about this potty training stuff soon. In fact, I am going to take the potty on the trip with us, so we can pull over on the road and go poop.

So next time you see Nathan congratulate him on being a big boy and telling mommy that he had to poop and then pooping on the potty.

Good Job little buddy!!!

Finally things are moving along!!

So after many weeks of fighting with contractors to just show up and give us a quote, then we find one, but the day he starts it is pouring rain, I was fed up with all this landscaping crap. ;) However, I am happy to report that the walkway guys came yesterday and have been working like mad men and I can actually see some progress. So hopefully when I get back from Alberta all that we will have to do is lay the sod. (fingers crossed)

Oh, BTW ladies, especially you single ones. If you can get to my house today or tomorrow you should try because these workers are all young, cute, and have, well, good bodies. I have been staying away from the windows so that I don't get caught drooling...hehe... All the other contractors that I have ever worked with have been old, fat, and if they take their shirts off you throw up in your mouth... so this is a nice change. Am I allowed to talk like that? I guess like my mom always said "You can look but don't touch."

My new addiction

Well after spending hundreds of dollars on scrapbooking stuff and never wanting to pull it all out and do pages, I have decided to dabble in digital scrapbooking. Well let me tell you, I LOVE IT!!! I love that I can open up the files whenever I want, there are so many free downloadable pages and kits so it will be cheap for a while, if I make a mistake and "cut" off too much paper I can just hit the undo button and all the paper reappears, it is easy, and the best of all it is quick. Now the problem is tearing myself away from it and get my housework done...hehe.

Anyways, here is my first page(well the link to my first page). I decided to do this picture because I just love how it looks and this paper was super cute. So let me know what you think.

Challenge

Okay now that I've done the 50 I would LOVE to pass on the challenge... so go ahead write down 50 things about you... if you don't blog I would be more than happy if you sent me your list and if you blog send me your link so I can come and read it... :) Have fun!!

About Me!!

So I usually write about Nathan on here and sometimes Wayne, so one of my friends challenged me to write 50 things about me, heck you may learn some things you never knew about me.

1. I crack my fingers when I am nervous, I don't remember exactly when I started this but I remember my Mom telling me to stop or I would get arthritis in my fingers, however, I still do it.

2. I LOVE cooking and think that I am actually pretty good at it too. I like to cook yummy comfort food like lasagna, homemade chicken soup, spaghetti sauce, but I LOVE trying out new things. I am all about quick, easy and usually healthy meals.

3. I LOVE having people over for dinner or even just to hang out. I love feeding people, I guess I find comfort in knowing that when people leave my house they are full and happy. Whenever my family is down the party usually migrates to our house and I cook the supper (with the help of the girls) and I love it.

4. I don't like scary/gory movies, in fact they sometimes make me feel sick to my stomach. Wayne makes me watch them with him every once in a while because he is a big chicken and likes me to be scared with him. However, I NEVER sleep well after I have watched a movie like this which leads me to my next thing...

5. I have an extremely over active imagination when it comes to some things. At least once a week I wake up startled thinking that someone is in my house. I can usually calm myself down and go back to sleep but sometimes I am sooo scared that I have to get out of bed to check. In fact, I sometimes wake up thinking that something hanging in the closet is a person, seriously, I am like a kid that's afraid of monsters in her closet. hehe... I am sooo lame.

6. I love singing in the shower when it's only Nathan and I at home. I use the shower head as my mike and sing at the top of my lungs... let me tell you if Canadian Idol could be held in my shower I would totally win.

7. I love meeting new people. When I was younger I went to EFY and was voted as Most Outgoing person or something like that, I think it was because I was immature and annoying and was introducing myself to everyone but I have run into people that still remember me from then.

8. I am not good at keeping in touch with people. I have the best of intentions but I am really bad at it.... slaps own hand. So if I tell you that we should keep in touch I really want to but I won't be the one to call first, this is something that I don't like but hey I'm being honest here,.

9. I am the WORST back seat driver ever. In fact, I drive most of the time because Wayne refuses to drive with me because I am soooo bad. Even when I am trying to control it I still say things....again bad Jackie..

10. I like to be in control. I don't mind if people make suggestions to me, but I don't like people telling me what to do. I have never liked it and I never will like it or allow it. I am usually a pretty patient person until it comes to this... I don't handle people telling me, or my family what to do.

11. To go with this last one, I don't like it when people tell me how to parent especially people that don't have kids or haven't had little kids in the last 30 years. :) The same goes for this one, I will listen to suggestions, but I don't like being told what to do.

12. I usually don't like surprise gifts. I am pretty picky about things, and I have a certain style that I like and I don't like clutter (plus this house has nowhere to hide unwanted stuff). I would rather someone just ask me what I want, I will give them ideas, and then I am sooo okay with getting what I said. I would rather have 1 thing that I can use or like, than 20 things that I don't like.

13. I like being at home with my boys. I like just hanging out with them whether it be playing or just cuddling on the couch watching a movie, I just like being with them.

14. I don't like snobby people. Noone is better than anyone else, and I don't have patience for people that think they are.

15. I LOVE reading my scriptures. It just brings a sense of peace and understanding into my life that sometimes I REALLY need.

16. I love listening to Nathan pray. He is so innocent and his prayers are so genuine. My favorite so far is thankyou that Mommy is happy today... :) I hope he wasn't saying that because he thinks I am usually not happy...just kidding.

17. I love being close to my siblings. We weren't as close when we were younger but now that we are all more mature it's fun.

18. Wayne always teases me that "all" my family ever wants to do is talk...hehe... and I love that. I remember always being able to talk about anything that I wanted to with my family, whether it was sex, or problems at school or anything. Nothing was held back and I love that we still have open (sometimes too open) conversations.

19. I love going out to eat and the whole ordeal that goes with it. I love to get dressed up, wear my cute outfits, do my hair really cute, wear my "no-kid" makeup(which is anything more than mascara and blush), and then go out to eat. I love people serving me, I love trying new foods, I just love the whole thing.

20. I love chick flicks and sappy songs, and just happy endings.

21. I am totally a cryer. I cry at Pull-Ups commercials because I am proud that the little kid went on the potty.... lame I know, but seriously that is how bad I can be. I take after my mom on this one because she is SUCH a cryer too....well actually my Dad gets stuff in his eyes quite often when something touching happens... okay well there really was no hope for me... I am a cryer.

22. Actually, I am an emotional person. I definately ride the emotional roller coaster. Most people that aren't really close to me don't get to see all my sides, but I can go from being nasty to crying to sweet all in 2.3 seconds.. :)

23. I don't get offended very easily. Lot's of stuff just rolls off my back. Now this hasn't always been the way, I have had to train myself just to not care. Seriously, some things that could bother me I just take the attitude of whatever. Actually, I say that a lot, whatever, and it's usually with a roll of the eyes added in.

24. I sometimes say bad words, and I am REALLY working on this. I have a little helper named Nathan. If I say a bad word, even stupid, Nathan will say to me "Mommy, we don't say that word, we say oh dear." hehe... it helps a lot.

25. I want more than ANYTHING to have another baby. I would LOVE for Nathan to have a sibling. I sometimes feel bad that Wayne has to go through all of this with me, I know that he doesn't care but I know that it's not easy for him either.

26. I fall more in love with my husband EVERY day. This is not because it just happens, I have had to teach myself to look for the good things that he does instead of the things that drive me crazy. It's such a good habit, because now everyday I notice more and more of what he does for me and family and I just get that rush of gooshiness again and again.

27. I don't like my teeth, I wish they were straighter and whiter. I know that I could do something about it but right now that's the last thing I am worried about.

28. I am sooo not a neat freak. I am okay with the dishes being in the sink if it means that I got to play with Nathan just that little bit longer. This is something that I am working on because I love having an organized/orderly house but I don't like spending all day having it that way. Don't get me wrong, my house isn't a pigsty but don't be surprised to find a pile of laundry on my dryer that needs to be folded.

29. I love having good friends. Heavenly Father has definately had his hand in this one. I have met so many wonderful people that I wouldn't have met if I would have made one different choice from what I did.

30. So many people have told me that I am very easy to get along with and open up to and this is something I am really proud of. I am glad that I am the type of person that people are comfortable around. I think this is one of those things that Heavenly Father blessed me with, one of my talents.

31. I definately see the glass half full.

32. I dated a LOT when I was young but have only been truly in love twice.

33. I love buying things and have really tried to get that under control since getting married, but I slip up every once in a while and go out and spend a little too much money.

34. I am sooo glad that after highschool I didn't just instantly go to school. I have really lived a good life and was ready to get married when I did. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything and now I can be Wayne's tour guide when we travel.

35. I am glad that I didn't marry Alex.....blah... I am sooo glad that I called off that wedding, enough said.

36. I could eat popcorn with a little butter and salt EVERY night.

Man, thinking of 50 things is hard.

37. I am frustrated that I have put on as much weight as I have and really want to lose some of it before we get preggers. I had lost 20 lbs going to Weight Watchers and wish that I hadn't stopped going, but now feel like it would be a waste of money to join again especially if we get pregnant soon like I am praying we do. After this baby, I am going to instantly go back to WW and get my butt in shape.

38. I want to start running again. I have bought the shoes, I have the ipod, now I just need to do it. Actually, I was running for awhile but I had the worst blisters ever because I wasn't wearing the right socks so now I just need the right socks.

39. I HATE DIETS!!!! I hate the restrictions, I hate not being able to eat what I want, I HATE DIETS!!!

40. I snore, and I have heard that I snore pretty badly. Maybe that's why Wayne can't hear Nathan at night, because he can't hear him over my snoring... hehe

Oh, only 10 more... yeah

41. I love coloring. In fact, when Wayne and I were first married I would get soooo bored whenever he wasn't around so I bought some pencil crayons and a Winnie the Pooh coloring book and I would color it. Okay that's really lame...

42. I like thinking, this may seem weird, but I like sitting in my rocking chair upstairs when Nathan is asleep and Wayne is out of the house and just thinking. I think of the weirdest things sometimes too, like if bugs have conversations, or just doing math equations in my head.

43. I still make a wish when I look at any digital clock and all the numbers are the same ex. 3:33, 5:55, 11:11.

44. I believe that everything happens for a reason and sometimes we might not know what that reason.

45. I can throw a football with a perfect spiral... Wayne didn't believe me and I proved him over and over and over again, and I have witnesses, thanks Jen and Mark.

Okay now, I am racking my brain, who knew the last 5 would be the hardest.

46. I usually don't take my makeup off at night but I know that I should and am working on that.

47. I LOVE editing pictures so if you ever have a picture you would like me to do some photoshop work on just let me know, I LOVE IT!!!

48. I sometimes pretend like Wayne is hurting me when we are wrestling just so I can get free and then attack him again.. hehe..

49. I notice people's hair first and then will notice their face. I am all about having good hair, I would rather go out in public with my hair done, and no makeup than the other way around, that's the hairdresser coming out in me.

50. I love who I am!!!

Landscaping our front yard

Well Wayne and I must be really tired of waiting for landscapers to call us back, or to show up when they say they will, and we wanted to make a least a little bit of our house look decent. So this weekend we tore out all the nasty dead grass that was right by the house, put in a walkway (the previous owners had little 6inx6in stepping stones spread out about 3 feet apart that you had to play leapfrog on to get into the house, they were taken out the very first day we moved in), put in a border, added some shrubs, and some beautious rocks. It looks really good (in fact it looks like it has always been there so I guess we did a good job) and even though we are tired and VERY sore we are soooo happy that we did it.Also, I hated not having a walkway, and I hated more that we couldn't keep that stinkin grass alive no matter what we did. When we were digging up the dirt to put in the walkway we found out why the grass wasn't living, under the sod was about 2 inches of topsoil and then you would think there should be just more dirt, but no, there was a layer of plastic, so the roots of the grass could only grow down 2 inches and that was all. Sometimes I am shocked at the things people do, especially the previous owners of this house. Oh well, we have it now and this house is seriously going to LOVE us because we don't do things halfway, things are done correctly when we do them.

Also, thanks to Jenn and Liam for taking Nathan for the whole day, it's so nice having good friends that are willing to help out whenever it's needed. We love you guys!!!

Please don't laugh too hard at the baby poop colored shutters, they will be painted soon I hope.

Well I promised pictures so here they are.

Here is baby Eli!! Look at those skinny legs.

Wayne is definately ready for another baby. :)

You can see my new hair cut in this pic too :)

I think that Eli looks like his Daddy in this pic but with Beth's cute nose and lips.

Well here are just a few of the many pics that I have on my camera from Russ and Beth.

It's really neat watching your little brother hold his own child. Russell lived with us when Nathan was born and it was fun to watch him be an uncle, but there is nothing like watching him be the Dad. I know that Russ and Beth will be FABULOUS parents because they are both so kind and loving. Eli is going to have to grow up quickly though because Nathan already has sooo many plans for them. He will say to me at random times "Mommy, when Eli big we go on slide, k, is that a good plan?" or "Mommy, when Eli big he sleep at my house too, like Iliegh, k?" :) I can't wait to watch this little guy grow up and to see what kind of personality he has. One thing is for sure, he is definately loved by many people. Welcome to the world baby Eli.

Sunday, May 27, 2007

Well I am an auntie again!!

Russell and Beth had a little baby boy, yesterday at 8:35 am. His name is Eli, he weighs 6lbs 12ounces, and is 20.5 inches long. He has the chubbiest cheeks that you just want to squish but the skinniest little legs. He really is a cute little guy. He doesn't really look like either Beth or Russell, but man he is a cutie.

Russell has my camera right now so I am not able to show you any pictures but let me tell you as soon as I get my camera back I will be posting pics of the sweet little guy.

Tomorrow is the big day!!!

Well the day has finally come, we are starting our fertility treatments tomorrow... aggghhhhh..!!! I have been having really mixed feelings about doing this this time, for anyone that may not know the medicine that I am going on helps me ovulate.. great you would think, but you know those families that have the quintuplets? well some of them took the same medicine that I will be taking... Okay, I fainted there for a second.. just kidding but seriously knowing that I could get pregnant with 5 babies at once is really unnerving. Everyone has been teasing us about having 5 babies which I really don't think is very funny, they won't be laughing when they receive a package and it is one of the babies for them to watch until it is out of diapers. :) Wayne and I were talking a while back and I was fretting about getting preggers with 5 babies and Wayne said "Well really, Jackie, what's 5 babies?" (and he was being serious), I started shaking, my usually quiet calm voice ;) turned into a yell and I said/yelled "What's 5, What's 5, are you kidding me, 5.......???" hehe... I know that statistically it is VERY uncommon to have mulitples when on this medicine and if they do happen it's usually twins or triplets, but I am one of those people that the crazy stuff always happens to... being propositioned to be an "escort" in NYC, having to jump on a Ferry to get back into the States as it is pulling away from the dock, etc.etc. , so the thought of getting pregnant with 5 babies isn't that far off.

Now just to add a little note, if we were to get pregnant with that many babies, after the shock wore off I would be very excited and love them all like crazy.. when they were 8... :)

Anyways, so now that the big day has finally come like I said before I was really quite nervous, nervous that we could get pregnant with 3 or more babies, worried that I will be really sick from the medicine that I will be on, worried that I will be SUPER cranky from the medicine(more so than now), but mostly worried that it won't work. I have been praying my little heart out to Heavenly Father pleading for him to make this happen, so tonight while I was reading my scriptures I came across a couple of verses in the Bible that really hit home. You know when you read something in the scriptures and it just feels like Heavenly Father put the words there for you to read right then? Well these verses were for me tonight. It's in Mark Chapter 11 verses 22-23 and I am going to paraphrase them a bit "...Have faith in God.....That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast inot the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart. but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." I know that I definately don't have the faith to move mountains, but I do have faith that Heavenly Father knows what is best for me, he knows that I want another baby more than anything in this world, he knows what my struggles are, he knows that I am scared, but now I know more than ever that I can't doubt him, that I need to put my faith in Him and I know that everything will work out.

So wish us luck... or better yet, offer up a prayer to Heavenly Father for us.... and hopefully the time has come and our faith is strong enough so that we can welcome another special little spirit into our lives.
I love you all.

Ode to Wayne

Wayne is such a great guy and I am so in love with him. He is so caring, funny, romantic, stubborn, cute, and just a great guy. Wayne surprises me almost everyday with something that is so sweet. He is such a great father, there is nothing better than to look at Wayne with Nathan, and to feel the love that he has for him. I love watching them play together, read together, even when they watch t.v. together. Wayne is also a wonderful brother, he loves spending time with his brothers and loves to come up with the weirdest sports or makes the funniest trophies for EVERYTHING!!! When Wayne decides to do something he does it 110%. For instance, right now he started a floor hockey league for our old ward. Not only are they playing hockey on Wednesday nights but he has a computer there that they have a scoreboard on, they keep track of the stats and then he made a website and has all the info on there, he has refs, I am surprised that he didn't buy everyone their own jersey...hehe. There are so many more reasons why I love my husband and I am proud that he chose me to be his wife.

I love you Wayne!!!

Spring time fun!!!

On Saturday Karalee, Beth, Iliegh, Nathan and myself went to Kinsmen Park for the afternoon. We had a little "picnic" and then went on the rides that are there. There is a cute little train that follows a little track around part of the park, it was fun until we went into the creepy Alice in Wonderland tunnels. The characters looked like they were going to jump out and bite your neck, they were really creepy but since the kids were there we had to pretend that they were cool. We then went on the ferris wheel, yes Beth even though it is a kid's ride it was still scary. But Beth shouldn't talk cause she kept wanting to "take pictures" but I think she was scared too. :) We went on the merry-go-round and Karalee rode the big "rooster". It's funny to watch Iliegh and Nathan, they were scared but loving it and eventually calmed down and enjoyed the ride. All 3 grandkids went for the second trip on the train and I guess loved it, we don't really know how the Butler baby enjoyed it as it is STILL in Beth's tummy. It started to sprinkle so we decided we should quickly go on the ferris wheel before it rained too hard. We were close to the front of the line when it started to thunder and lightning like crazy around us and they shut the ride down, thank goodness Mommy didn't have to go on that one again. We had icecream in the shelter and Nathan, Iliegh and Beth played in the pouring rain. We had SUCH a fun time and still have some tickets left over so we can go back.

Here's some pictures from our fun day!!

Mommy, I look just like you!!!

These are the words my sweet Nathan said to me as he put the bright red headband on his head. I was busy getting ready in the bathroom this morning and Nathan was there brushing his teeth. I put a black headband on and next thing I know Nathan is pulling out the red one. He wore it around the house for a while and when it was time to go shopping I asked him if he wanted to take it off. Nathan very sweetly said "No Mommy I look pretty just like you." OH MY GOODNESS, how can you resist that, so Nathan wore the red headband all day long. We got some looks and I am sure that people were wondering what the heck I was thinking letting him wear it, but I figure he's 2 and he just wants to look pretty like Mommy. It was cute because he kept looking at my head and seeing if I still had mine on and then he would touch his head to make sure his was on. Someday I will tease him about wearing it, but for now I think it is pretty sweet.

Here's the evidence that Nathan looks pretty like Mommy.

So now that the painting is finally done we are able to start unpacking boxes, and getting things put away. But I can't wait till we get to finally start decorating. Right now the walls are so bare and I can't wait to put up our pictures and make it look like our family home.

Once again thanks Mom for helping with everything.

We FINALLY got a house!!! YEAH!!!

So after 6 weeks of searching we finally have got a house. We are SOOO blessed!!! Thanks to all of you that have prayed for us and thought about us this last little while, your prayers and thoughts have worked.

There is a fabulous family here in our ward, Brad and Caylee Low, that were going to let us house sit for them for the summer. We were to move into their house on April 30th, which was going to be cutting it close since we had to turn over this house on May 1st. We were very grateful to the Low's and were going to just have to make due. However, we found a cute little house in Martensville, put in an offer and actually won the bid (for anyone that doesn't know all the houses in Saskatoon are having bidding wars and most are going for anywhere from $20- $60 thousand dollars over the asking price which is high as well). Not only did we get the house but our possession date is April 27th!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!!!! :) We are thrilled.

The inside of the house is Great and all we need to do is paint a little bit, and we need to landscape the backyard. Other than these things the house is PERFECT!!!! It has a HUGE yard, I can finally have a big garden, it backs a park that has a great playground, spray park, and a sledding hill in the winter. But the best thing about this house is that we got it and paid in the low part of what we had budgeted, so we will have a house and not be paying much more than what we sold our house for. I am SOOOOOOO happy right now, I seriously feel like this is SUCH an answer to prayers.

If you are ever in the neighbourhood just give us a call and we will be happy to show you around.
