OHHHH he is SOOO getting a HUGE SLOBBERY KISS TONIGHT!!! ;)

Wayne and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary this summer and he surprised me tonight with a NEW RING!!!!!! When we got married we were poor so we just got matching plain wedding bands. I have been eyeing a ring like this (it was a lot smaller though) and have been MAJORLY hinting that I want a new ring.....well low and behold the stud got me this one!!!!

Isn't it PRETTY!!!!

I am a chicken!!

I was going to post some full body before and during but after looking at them I'm not quite ready to post them out there for the world to see. There definately is a change but in the pictures I am still too close to what I was so I am not excited about showing them. Also, the before pics are of me in my bra and swim bottoms and WOW they are SUPER sexy!!! HEHE!!! So today I took some pics in a t-shirt and a different pair of swim bottoms, that way when I take the next pictures I will feel a little more comfy showing you all them. (If you are ever over at my house, remind me and I will totally show you the before and afters, I just don't know who reads my blog so I'm not crazy about people seeing me in my bra....hehe... go figure)

Anyways, I do have some before and during face shots that I am totally willing to share.

Before: (this picture kills me, it looks like a mug shot...hehe....)

HELP ME!!! I'M SHRINKING!!!

Well I am proud to say that I have officially lost 26.4 lbs (11.4 lbs since Weight Watchers). I had only lost .2 of a lb over the last 2 weeks, thanks Aunt Flo, so it was an AWESOME surprise when I stepped on the scale yesterday and I had lost over 5 lbs....YAY!!!! Even though I hadn't lost weight for 2 weeks I have been losing inches. I am feeling better all the time, and I'm LOVING that all my clothes are getting WAY too big on me, I'm not going shopping yet because there's no point if I keep losing weight. :) Maybe another 10 lbs and then I'll go on a little spring shopping trip!! I also need to post some before and during pics...oh and some pics of my poop sack pants!! :)

This Man!!!

This man:
(This pic isn't very good, but I only have a limited amount to choose from so it will have to do)
Photobucket

Has been in my life for 5+ years, but has been in my soul forever.

Has watched me change from a spoiled, immature brat, into the (still spoiled) wife, mother, and woman that I am today.

Tries his hardest to make me laugh, usually I just roll my eyes, but I hope he knows that's because I love him.

Swept me off my feet, and made me fall in love with him within weeks of meeting him, even though I didn't admit it then.

Has allowed me to be me, good and bad, and still thinks I am pretty great.

Is a WONDERFUL father.

Makes me tingle from my toes to the tips of my hair.

Has listened to me talk for 5+ years, but still "pretends" that when I repeat a story that it's the first time he's heard it.

Doesn't give up.

Is stubborn, strongwilled, passionate, intense, loving, gentle, funny, everything that is needed to handle me.

Makes the lose my breath when he flashes me his beautiful smile.

Was made just for me, and I for him.

Is wonderfully romantic (if your husbands need any ideas on date/gift ideas have them ask Wayne he is AWESOME at them).

Is the man that I want to wake up with when I am wrinkled, gray, saggy, and old.

Is my EVERYTHING, and I love him more than I can express.

I love you sweetie, Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Being a Mom

Typical time of wake up: On weekdays, I am up by 7:30am since I drive school bus, but on the weekend I try to sleep in as long as possible.

How many times have you been a new mom: Just once but I hope to experience it again.

How old were you when you became a mom : almost 25

Favorite Kids show: Well Nathan LOVES Poko, Backyardigans, Leap Frog shows, and Whywriters(I think that's what it's called). I don't really like watching any of the shows that he does but I will sit through a Leap Frog show.

Favorite chore: Lately it's been organizing, but normally I like vacuuming, bathrooms, and folding clothes while watching a movie.;)

Least favorite chore: I really don't like doing the dishes but I also don't like my kitchen being a mess so they usually get done. I also HATE putting away clothes, but I am working on that one too.

Meal you cook most often: Anything pasta

Kids favorite meal: Nate LOVES whole wheat pasta, he Loves snap peas, actually Nathan is usually a great eater, he loves taco salad, spaghetti and homemade sauce, chicken, really there aren't too many things that he doesn't like.

5 things that make you smile when you are being a mom: 1. Nathan always telling me he loves me, especially when he's in trouble. 2. When I am explaining to Nathan how he shouldn't act he always puts his nose against mine and tries to distract me, I keep a straight face and continue but it's hard. 3. How Nathan LOVES to dance while I play the piano, when it's a fast song he dances CRAZY, but when I play slow he dances like a ballerina. 4. Nathan's little comments he comes up with like the other day we were watching figure skating and he called the ladies ballerina hockey players. It was so sweet. 5. How when we sing our nighttime songs Nathan will cuddle with Wayne (or anyone else) but when we sing our final song "I'll Love You Forever" Nathan always has to be cuddling with me, and playing with my hair. It's funny, last night he cuddled with Wayne for half of the song and then realized what he was doing and quickly jumped down and ran over to me.

Last time you went out with no kids: Well I go out every Thursday for Weight Watchers, but that really doesn't count. However, I am very lucky to have 2 great friends that I go out with once a month for a girl's night. We have been doing this for over 2 years and we so far haven't gone to the same restaurant twice which has been very fun.

If you could take your kids anywhere where would it be: I would take Nate somewhere that's warm, especially somewhere that has a beach. He LOVES going to the lake and playing in the sand, and I would love to get a tan on these albino legs.

Favorite pastime/activity with kids: I LOVE cooking with Nathan, we don't do it often since we have been so busy lately but I LOVE IT!!!!

1 thing you said you would never do when you were a mom: Spank my child, I have, and I HATE it!!!

If you had an afternoon to yourself what would you do? I would go get a manicure, man my cuticles are HORRIBLE!!! I would also get waxed in areas that REALLY hurt!!! :^O

1 thing you do that your mom did & now you do: I remember my mom singing all the time, she has a beautiful voice and I remember her always singing.

Favorite kids book: I LOVE Sandra Boynton and all her books. I really like Bearenstein Bears (so does Nathan), and I LOVE Goodnight Moon.

Scariest or most heartbreaking moment as a mom: When Nathan was just a little baby, I think he was only like 3 months old, he had a REALLY bad cold and we had to use a nebulizer on him. He would just lay there and scream, which was good because then he inhaled all of the medicine, but it broke my heart. Then I think Nathan was 18 months and he got croup, we had to go into the dr.'s office a few times to put on an oxygen mask and get some medicine again... again he cried and he just looked at me like "Help Mommy" that was horrible. Oh and when Nathan was just a little tiny baby, I had to have my gallbladder removed. My mom came down to take care of both of us, thanks mom, because I wasn't able to even hold Nathan let alone take care of him. Anyways, we had to get Nate's shots and a few hours later Nathan was not feeling so well. He was just crying and crying and even my mom couldn't calm him down. Eventually I had to just stand up and bounce him till he calmed down(it was one of THE MOST painful moment of my life) and then we laid him on my chest, ohhhh man it hurt so bad.

Most joyful moment as a mom: When I found out that I was pregnant after trying for a year. Does that count? And then when they placed Nathan on my chest after he was born.....soooo wonderful. And then when he cried for the first time.... okay I could go on and on.

.Last time your child told you they love you: Nathan just woke up from his nap and walked into my room and announced "Mommy, I sure love you, I need a drink." :)

This is a tag, if you want to do it, go ahead, it was fun!!!

WooHoo!!

That's suppose to be a whistle.

Well a little update: When I started this process (weight loss that is) I should have been a size 16 but squeezed my booty into a 14, and it wasn't comfy. Well my pants have been just getting bigger and bigger, and I've been carting around a poop sack lately and it's just not a nice picture. I've also been tightening up my belt which is causing my pants to be "wrinkled" in the front and back. Anyways, I decided to pull out my "skinny" jeans, or at least the jeans I was wearing last year when I lost all my weight.

3 months ago I couldn't even pull the pants up past my thighs, and then 4 weeks ago when I tried them on again before going back to Weight Watchers and I still couldn't get them up. Well today, I decided to try them on again. Not only did I get them on, and zipped up without sucking in, but the legs are actually a little lose.... YAY ME!!!!

Anyways, I am going to have to take some pics to show the difference because it's AWESOME fitting into smaller jeans and looking good in them too.

I Love You, but I need this!!!

I have finally been able to make the decision, not only in my head but where it's harder to do,

in my heart.

It's time to stop waiting for this baby to join our family. It's time to stop allowing/or making the excuse that I will do it after the baby comes. Well we've been waiting for over 2 years now and it hasn't happened.

This is one of the hardest things that I have ever done, in fact even typing this right now is breaking my heart. I feel like I am giving up. The "human/guilt ridden" side of my brain feels like there is that little spirit up there screaming for me to not stop, that they want to come down. My heart however, (and spirit) feels like the baby is in Heaven cheering me on, waiting to come when the time is RIGHT....

not when MY time is right!!

We are going to keep trying, I am going to keep going to the specialist, but I really really need to stop worrying/thinking about it 24 hours a day. I want to get my education, I want soooo badly to be a nurse, and I have finally applied today.

Yes, I did it, I applied.

I probably won't be accepted right now (I am sure I need to upgrade one or more of my classes), but that doesn't matter, I needed to do this for me, to remind myself how badly I really do want this.

Like I posted before, I'm working hard to lose weight, not because I want to get pregnant but because I want to be healthy. It's working, I am losing it, and I feel FABULOUS!!!

I need to focus on my husband as a husband, my friend, my soulmate, my buddy, my confidante, my lover, not just my...

donor.

Ugg, just thinking like that makes me hurt, I'm soooo sorry Wayne, but after trying to have this baby for so long sometimes the lines get blurred and then totally messed up.

I need to let go of this horrible guilt that I am carrying around. What kind of woman am I that I can't even have a baby?!? I know that that is soo illogical, but when things don't work right month after month it's incredibly hard to not think it.

Just let it go, Jackie, let it go.

I need to do this for me, and even though letting the control go is what I need to do, I am SOOOO scared. What if it never happens?

What if ?

What if????????????

So special little spirit that is up in Heaven waiting for us ...

I LOVE YOU, but I NEED this!!!

Candy Apple on Acid

That's what I think when I see my new laundry room color, but let me tell you, I LOVE the color, like seriously, when I walk in there I giggle that's how much I love it. It's fun, lively, exciting, everything that laundry isn't. :)

Anyways, I thought I would share some pics of it for all of you that might not have the amazing priviledge of seeing it in person... :) Don't mind my shelf, it's bare and in need of a good shopping trip and the rest of our food storage is packed away in boxes waiting to find their home once the bathroom wall is built and they have shelves (hint hint Wayne) . Oh and the ugly brown baseboards are going to be history as soon as the bathroom is done!!! YAY!!Photobucket

Photobucket

The bottom left of this picture is close to the "actual" CRAZY color!!!
Photobucket

Thanks Maja (http://www.thesavvyorganizer.com/) for the tips, my laundry is now going to be done daily, and even put away and all of you that know me KNOW that this is a BIG deal!!! I am totally a once a week laundry doer and then my couch ends up holding the last load till the next week, but now that I have such a FUN room, it's going to be so much fun keeping things done!!!

Bedtime Battles!!!

Wayne and I are bumming around tonight, watching tv in our bedroom. Nathan has been put to bed but doesn't want to be there. It's been funny watching all the different ways that he has been trying to get out of his room. At first he would just slowly open the door, back to bed, then you would see his 1 finger pushing the door open, back to bed. This last time, he slowly pushed open the door and then walked in backwards like as if we couldn't see him....hehe... it is sooo hard to try to not laugh, but back to bed he went.

Poor little guy, it's hard having a Mommy and Daddy that make you go to bed at a decent time. Someday I am sure that you will not want to get out of bed and we will be the ones crying and coming up with creative ways to get a reaction. :)

I must be having a crazy moment but.....

I have decided that I need to be honest with myself and I need to change my lifestyle because I want to be around for a LONG LONG time!!! Sooooo..... it's time to come clean about my weight.... (insert blood curdling scream here) hehe

Actually, I don't really mind telling people how much I weigh but I have been feeling lately that if I write it down then maybe I will actually be committed to the change. I was a "normal" size in highschool, I was a loose size 8, maybe 140lbs at my biggest and just healthy. I was in dance, I played sports (for fun), and was just a LOT more active. Then I graduated and the pesky fat cells started showing up.

I know that it's because my lifestyle TOTALLY changed, I wasn't doing any(or very little) physical activity, I went through some pretty bad relationships and I totally became an emotional eater.

Well, for probably 8 years I have not been any smaller than a size 10, and I haven't weighed anything less than 169lbs. I have been in a little bubble, at first I didn't really realize how big I had gotten, in my mind I was still a skinny girl. What a shock it was when I saw a picture of myself that showed my whole body and I realized that I wasn't as small as I thought I was.

Last year I decided it was time to make a change, I started going to Weight Watchers and I lost 15lbs which felt FABULOUS!!! Then I thought I was pregnant, quit, found out I wasn't pregnant, started the emotional eating again, and well before I knew it I was at my all time high of 199lbs.
When I stood on the scale and realized how much I weighed I just cried. Not only because I was so "fat" but because I want to be around for a long time, and I don't want to put unnecassary stress on my body.

199lbs.... that's 1 freakin pound away from 200!!!! Oh my goodness.... this was my breaking point!!!! I am tired of food controlling my life, I am tired of being sick because of eating fatty food, I am SOOOO tired of feeling tired all the time, I am tired of not being able to chase my son around the house for very long before I am out of breath, I am tired of being fat!!!! I was thinking about how much weight I have put on since highschool and it's like carrying around 6-10lb bags of potatoes all day and night!!! Or like carrying around 2 Nathan's all day, no wonder I am sooo tired all the time.

So, I decided to take control of my life. Food is not going to control me anymore, and let me tell you I am enjoying eating SOOOO much more than I ever have. I am enjoying the "real" taste of food and not the greasy, creamy, processed taste of food.

I have replaced white bread, with whole/multi grain bread, white pasta with whole wheat pasta, white rice with brown rice and let me tell you, the whole grain/brown stuff is WAY better, it actually has flavor. Instead of eating out 1-3 times a week, we now only eat out 1-3 times a month(except this last week). We don't bring the "bad" food into our home very often and if it's there I send it to work with Wayne ASAP!!!

I got down to 184 lbs on my own but kind of plateaued so I decided that it was time to go back to Weight Watchers, and I am proud to say that I have already lost another 5lbs. I am now down to 179 lbs, and excited about losing more. I am already feeling fabulous about myself. I love that I am starting to get a "poopsack" in my pants again, I love that I have moved down 3 knotches on my belt, I love that my skin looks better, but what I love the most is that I am in control of ME!!!! YEAH!!!!

So next time you see me, you will be seeing less of me, and I am SOOOO excited about that!!!

I'm such a slacker!!!

Wayne is always giving me heck cause I am not a regular writer on here, and I admit, unless I have "something" to write about I don't even think about the blog.

Poor Nathan has been sick. On Sunday he was coughing but we went to church and then skipped out on Nursery. By 6pm Sunday night Nathan had a slight fever, we put him to bed and then he woke up in the middle of the night just burning up. I tried to take his temp. but our thermometer sucks and wouldn't give us an accurate temp. so we just gave him tylenol and he and Wayne tried to sleep. However, being a Mom I was really worried since I didn't know how hot he really was so I didn't sleep the rest of the night because I kept checking Nathan's temp all night. For the rest of the day we layed in bed, I watched cartoons, and Nathan just snuggled into my chest and tried to sleep. He was sooo warm that it was not comfy to lay with him. He was VERY lathargic all day, and then last night around 8pm his fever broke and he was goofy again. Actually, it was cute 'cause he was laying on the couch singing some weird song and it sounded like we had given him a shot of ecstasy or something cause he was SOOOO weird.

Well, that was a boring post, but Wayne I did post so I hope you are happy. ;)

Oh NATHAN!!

Today Nathan and I were playing a racing game, everytime Nathan would win the conversation would go like this:

"Yay,me won, Mommy, you lose."

"Yes Nathan, you won and Mommy lost."

"Yep, me won, you lose"

Finally it was time to teach Nathan a lesson.I gave a pouty lip, sad face which usually makes Nathan realize that what he is saying isn't nice, but I must be doing it too much because he kept saying:

"Mommy, you lose, but I win."

Okay, little buddy you don't have to rub it in SOOO far ;)

"Nathan when you keep saying that it's not nice and it makes Mommy sad."

"Why?" (The VERY popular question lately)

"Because I tried really hard and you should say Good Job Mommy."

Nathan thought for a minute

"Good Job Mommy for losing."

Oh my boy!!!

Wayner & Jack

A friend of mine just did this and I thought it was a cute idea so I thought I would copy it.

What is his name? Wayne Louise Shutra

How long have you been married? 4.5 years, man I can't believe it's been that long already!!

How long did you date? We dated for 4 months and then were engaged for 6 months, sooo short but when you know you know!!!

How old is he? 27, he's 5 months younger than me.

Who eats more? Wayne, by far, well as long as it's not treats, he isn't a snacker usually, oh and I kick his butt at popcorn eating.

Who said I love you first? I kind of did, I was talking to a friend on the phone just a few weeks after we met and I was doodling on a paper, I wrote, I (heart) you. At first I didn't realize what I had done, but when I did I scribbled it out but the "damage" had been done....hehe.... I am sure that I said it for real first though.

Who is taller? Well if you have seen the two of us, me....hehe...just kidding Wayne. But my torso is the same length of his, his legs are just WAY WAY longer than mine that's where he makes up the difference.

Who sings better? I love you Wayne, but me. However, Wayne makes up the best songs.

Who is smarter? Wayne is probably schoolasticly smarter (haha, I don't even know if that's how you spell it), I am wordly(if that's the right word) smarter, I could totally get around places and figure things out faster than Wayne.

Who’s temper is worse? It depends what it's about, normal day to day stuff-Me, Sports-Wayne.

Who does the laundry? That would totally be me.

Who does the dishes? Lately, me!! Wayne will unload and load the dishes but HATES washing pots by hand so I do that and the table and counters.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are laying in bed looking at the roof, Wayne sleeps on the right, I don't know why though I like sleeping on my left, he likes sleeping on his right but we like cuddling, maybe we should switch sides.

Who pays the bills? Wayne

Who mows the lawn? Usually me. I like doing the outdoor stuff during the day so I can water
the lawn at night. I LOVE this kind of stuff though, I would much rather be outside than inside.

Who cooks dinner? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, this is a HILARIOUS question, if you want to know Wayne's cooking abilities ask him to make you his specialty, Froot Loop surprise (Mac N' Cheese with Froot Loops in it), don't ask, I have NEVER tried it and NEVER will.... soooo I do the cooking.

Who drives when you are together? Usually me because I am a HORRIBLE back seat driver and if he drives we usually end up arguing.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Me, even though I am not wrong very often...hehe...

Whose parents do you see the most? His BY FAR, my parents live 8 hours away.

Who proposed? Wayne, he had a big plan with one of his friends, we stopped by their house and then they had to "take a movie back". They took FOREVER, we left and were going to go do something but Wayne said he had to stop at his house and call his mom (he had a cell phone but didn't want to use it). I was just going to stay in the car but he said I should probably go up and go to the bathroom just in case we would be gone for a while, so I went up with him. When we got up to his apartment there were streamers and candles everywhere. On one wall he had a HUGE heart that said 36 reasons why I love Jackie...and then there were 36 little hearts around it that had the reasons written on them. He then sang my favorite song to me and we danced for a while and then he got down on his knee and proposed.... IT WAS SOOO SWEET!!!

Who has more friends? Ummm...hehehe again, this is a funny one. I have a lot more friends than Wayne, I am way more outgoing and I have lived in many places so I have more. But I sure love his very best friend, Jon, he's a sweetheart!!!

Who has more sibling? Oh, we tie, we both have 3, I have 1 brother and 2 sisters, Wayne has 3 brothers, and we both are the oldest.

Who wears the pants?I would say me, but I like putting the skirt on every once in a while and letting Wayne take over...actually, lately we both have been sharing the pants....rrrraarrrr :)

That was REALLY fun!!!! Thanks Laura!!

WHY OH WHY!!!!

Why is it that when I am just feeling comfortable with my parenting skills the little punk throws a stick through my spokes and I tumble to the ground, not sure whether I should get up or just lie there and cry?!?!

Why is it that when I am finally starting to enjoy going out with my little punk that the temper tantrums and spazzes start up again?!?!

Why is it that parenting is just one HUGE guessing game and that I am CONSTANTLY making mistakes?!?!?!

Lately, Nathan has REALLY been testing his boundaries and I am REALLY not enjoying it. Wayne has been working late almost every day and so I am a single parent from 7 am till at the earliest 8 pm....I now have a greater respect for single parents and student wives. We have started doing time outs again, which we haven't done for soooo long since he usually is really well behaved, and they don't seem to be working as well as they use to.

He has started saying "NO" but with MAJOR MAJOR attitude, I swear he is a 16 year old girl sometimes. Then the other day I asked him to do something and he said "Ummmm,.........NO" Are you kidding me?!?! This is what I say ALL the time, but it's when I am kidding not when I am being a bum. It was SOOOO funny but let me tell you he never knew that I thought it was funny. I guess I better watch what I say.

Humph, I think I am going to climb into bed and sleep until he is married with little punks of his own to terrorize him.

Sweet little hand

Daddy had to work late tonight so Nathan and I decided we were going to have our own date night and we watched a movie (Cars). When the show started I half jokingly said,

"Nathan can I hold your hand?"

He said "Sure" and he slipped his tiny little hand into mine.... sooo sweet. My hair was in my face and I wanted to move it so I let go of his hand he said in the sweetest little voice,

"Mommy, my hand misses yours"

Okay, total mommy melt moment. These are the moments that slip out of my mind after a few months, and THESE are the moments I want to hold onto FOREVER!!! Someday, Nathan is going to be a grown boy, and it won't be cool to hold his Mommy's hand anymore, and when this day comes

my hand will miss his.

My future little artist!!!

I was editing some photos on the computer the other day and Nathan was sitting on my lap. He had some paper and a few highlighters and a pen. I looked to make sure he wasn't doing some body art and this is what he had drawn:

Here are a few that he has drawn since then, notice the 3 legs, for some reason every little guy he draws has one, I guess they are all male....lol, just kidding!!!

I've been tagged!!

Well, even though I have already made long list I thought it would be fun to complete the tag. So here we goes Six things/habits that most people do not know about me:

1. I love to crank up booty shakin music and dance around my house like a crazy lady, Nathan joins me and we have a riot. One of my favorite songs to dance to is Tamborine by Eve.... Love the beat, you can really get things shakin to that song.

2. I think best late at night, I don't know if it's because there are no distractions or if I have troubles falling asleep so I might as well think. I come up with the weirdest ideas, like getting rid of our bed and making one huge hammock for us to sleep in... I know, I know it's weird but have you ever slept in a hammock, it's like sleeping in a cloud?

3. I was engaged when I was 19 years old, yeppers and let me tell you I am soooo glad that I didn't marry that guy, so is my family.

4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese. This could be because my dad is the cheese man and we always had good cheese in our house growing up, but I love a good cheese. Bulk Cheese Warehouse is one of my favorite stores EVER!!! I could sit and eat a bunch of yummy cheese and good crackers and be in heaven.

5. I know how to tatt, it kind of looks like crocheting but WAY more delicate looking. My grandma taught me when I was young and tatting is becoming a lost art, and let me tell you, I am sooo glad that I learnt it. I don't tatt anymore but some day when I have a little more time I would like to start it up again.

6. I have a thing for a man with tattoos, rrraaaarrrrrr!!! I totally find them hot, maybe because it's part of the bad boy image or maybe it's because I always wanted one but decided against it, I'm not sure but I think they are hot.

So now I tag 6 people: Laura, Erin, Andrea, Liam, Lindsay, Karen
The Rules1. The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves - try to find 6 you haven't already posted about.2. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, and then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for the rules.

Tick-or-Teating

This is what Nathan and his little friend Liam would yell when people opened their doors. We had a fun time trick-or-treating, the boys learnt quickly what they had to say and what they got. At one house after Nathan had been given the candy we said, "What do you say Nathan?" He said, "Next one"....LOL It was soooo funny!!!! Of course, we made him say thankyou but it was too cute. The night was absolutely beautiful, the last 2 years have been freezing so this was a nice change!!

Here's a few pictures from last night:

Twas the night before Halloween
